FLY ASH

It is usually one of the byproducts resulting from the coal burning process.

Chemical Composition

It generally contains minerals such as silica (SiO2), alumina (Al2O3), iron oxide (Fe2O3), calcium oxide (CaO), magnesium oxide (MgO). The composition may vary depending on the type of coal and the origin of the coal.

Reactivity

It can undergo various chemical reactions. This feature can be especially used in the production of various construction materials. For example, fly ash can be used as an additive in cement production.

Pozzolanic Properties

By reacting with cement, it can increase the durability of the cement matrix and prevent cracks.

Eco-Friendly

It is a by-product of coal burning and is therefore a material suitable for recycling. At the same time, applications such as its use in cement production can contribute to the production of environmentally friendly construction materials.

Colorlessness

It is generally gray in color and does not affect the color of the cement when used in cement production.

Thermal Conductivity

It has low thermal conductivity properties. This feature allows materials containing fly ash to be used in insulation applications.
